No comment as of yet, so you guys either watched football or was not impressed. For those that did not watch nascar, there was a bunch of intentional wrecks (during cations), cursing, and Robby Gordon ran out on the track in the middle of cars and chucked his helmet at Waltrip. Evreyone thought it was so terrible; surely I wasn't the only one laughing ;D With new technology, the cars don't roll and fall apart like they used to. Also, nascar is catering to a new generation of fans (whom I don't like). It's good to see some good ole fashion revenge for once in what's becomming a girly sport.

Heck racing used to always be punctuated with fists, or at least near fist fights all the time. A little helmet throwing or a tap on the fender is what it's all about. But if they allow little taps on short tracks and caution laps, what happens when they start tapping in turn 3 at Talledegha.... ...I am not sure where the line needs to be drawn.

I think we need a NASCAR bumpercar series. You have 40 midgets racing around 1/16 mile track while wrecking eachother. Would make for a great 300 miles...

I'm kinda thinking like KLSM on this one..... If you can ram someone deliberately, but only during cautions, is that OK? Or you can only ram them in the pit lanes? Now, on public highways, road rage will get ya in a lot of trouble..... I admint that I'm not a Nascar fan ( I was watching football, Red ) but when I saw the clips on the news, my first thought was "these people gotta grow up"

but when I saw the clips on the news, my first thought was "these people gotta grow up" I always say the same thing when watching football. I don't know what I hate more - taunting or the retarded helmet grabbing. Basketball is no better - between the taunting and open handed slap-fights Back to racing Although the safety aspect of it is gone, I'd rather see a car rammed during a green flag than a yellow. There's at least a little bit of class in that...sort of...

Red, you're right about all of that. I have trouble figuring out why, if you step on an athletic field, you are no longer a citizen with rights, responsibility, and a standard of behavior that's expected of a citizen. You can pull crap on the field and get away with it..... Don't get me started.....

In short (very short)
I think it's basically a "gentleman's agreement" not to take legal action. And I think it makes you "less of a man" if you want to procecute after being hit by a beanball. I think sports is the only way for guys to be guys with no reprocussions.
