As everyone knows, turkeys can't smell. If they did, I'd go crappie fishing.
However, deer and other animals become alarmed at human scent and blow & run away. This could (and does) spook birds when unfortunate timing occurs.
But do you worry about it - and what do you do?
Personally, I reak of sweat and bug spray and don't plan on changing it. I think it would be a little nuts to watch wind or use spray.

Personally I think a guy would be bordering on O/C, iffin he was to worry about scent while turkey huntin'.... But, that being said, I'm sure there are those that do. Hmmm? Money making idea....All new! Red's Turkey Scents....Hen in Heat, Tom in Strut, and Turkey Poop Cover Scent..... ;D ;D ;D I'm joking....or am I? They would probably sell, there are lots of "Monk" type guys who hunt turkeys.

I don't worry about scent control while turkey hunting at all. I suppose you might spook game, but, more often, I've had to shoo deer away while I'm sitting there all in camo. I was afraid of getting stepped on once.... I should note that I'm not among the scent control crowd while deer hunting, either. Yeah, scent control for turkey hunting does sound a little OCD, but, to each his own.

I'm sure squirrels can smell to but I don't see them running away from human scent.
I think it's virtually non-existant past a couple feet. It's used for finding food as opposed to detecting danger.

No! I don't feel a camo shotgun with scope is necessary either.

I think if you could market a pill to make people think that they could set still it would be a good seller. "Red's set still a spell pill's"
After all they make a Vision pill in the back of all the Rag mag's.

No! I don't feel a camo shotgun with scope is necessary either. I agree Even the shine on the glossy blue barrels aren't a whole lot to be concerned about. I think people spook birds and want to blame it on the gun as opposed to them picking the wrong tree to sit against or they made a move the bird saw. But that's just my opinion
