I'm not the kind of person who will go out weeks ahead of the spring season and find birds. I'd rather stand outside the truck as it's getting daylight and wait. But I like to know the area somewhat.
When deer hunting (and even rabbit hunting) this fall/winter, I've found a few more spots that might be good for turkey hunting.

I use deer season to hunt for turkeys, since around here the fall turkey season and regular firearms deer season coincide over most of the time. Over the years I have probably killed as many turkeys during the fall as during the spring.
