Work wouldn't let me use a vacation day yesterday b/c someone else was off. I thought about calling in sick but I was to recieving a new employee mon. What a shame, it was a perfect day - sunny, 70's, no wind. Today wasn't a horrible day either - 50's, overcast, a little rainy, little windy. Not too bad though.
I was suppost to have sat, sun, mon off and was going to go camping, but I'm having problems with saturday. I might be able to hunt all three days, but not actually go camping. Damn the price of gas.
I'm going to be hunting kinda spiratic this year...kinda whenever I can go I'll go. I'm definatly hunting/camping may 10,11,12,13,14

Here are a few pics taken near home this month. I'd like to say I took them, but my house building project has all my spare time tied up right now. A friend took these, all withinn about 2-3 miles of the town we live in. If these were up the hill a little farther, I could see them from my house This one evaded the hunters last year, I have pictures I took of him last June right after the seasion ended. This big boy hangs close to a couple houses, feeds under their bird feeders all winter. Yep, that's a mown yard in the foreground. Now I would never accuse anyone of shooting one on the roost, but my friend has sent me pictures of this bird on the roost, on three seperate mornings... Season opens Saturday.

I don't know Scott, there's a lot of limbs and crap to blow through to shoot that one off the roost.
