First hunt day is this Wednesday morning. I have a few things to pack up yet but not much to buy anymore.
I spent Sunday trimming trees in the yard. We have a fair amount of trees so I got them trimmed and hauled to the curb. By the time I get back there will be leaves on them so I wanted to get them done.
I got #6's last week along with my buddy's turkey gun. In addition the the camo and all of the other clothing we are going to work in some fishing if we have time.
The wife has her new car so she is happy and maybe all of the rose bushes will be pruned when I get back. (Mowing the lawn would be a little too much to ask for.)
Following this weekend it will be time to get the boat ready and the camper on the truck to get ready for our first camping outing on May 6-7.

I've got my spot all picked out. The land is set up like colorado basin - it's really cool looking - basin, creek bottom, highline cut, and surrounded by woods. There's so many access roads around my spot. In order to get to it you can choose one of three trails, but you have to walk a mile to get to it. I'm talking a fourth route - straight through the woods I figure I'll have it to myself for 2 or 3 hours before someone else gets back to it. I know where 2 birds roost and I have a suspision where a third is.

I will try and remember all of the advice. We each have a gun which should make PBR happy. I'm using #6s with a lucky BB in it. I have all my camo packed up and tomorrow morning I load the truck and then leave from work in the middle of the afternoon. The weather doesn't look that great with some chances for rain, but it will be what it is. According to his buddy, my brother says there are at least 5 toms in the immediate area so they are around, I just hope we have some come in range.
I should be back either way sometime on Sunday.
We can always go fishing. My brother has expressed a wish to learn how to use a bait caster so at least for a while there may be some good entertainment. I will bring along the one all of us started with and he can take it from there if he likes it.
