Hey Guys; It's getting to that time here where the antlers are 'bout done growing and the velet is coming off. Anyone got a nice buck they've been watching all summer? I have to be careful about what I say now that Bill is back in-state but I think there might be a nice one or two around..................

One of the nice things 'bout my job is my car has a built in spotlight. Last night I saw a flash go across the road in front of me by the creek bottom. So when I got to that spot I turned on the spotlight and there he was. Huge and proud of himself. My thoughts are that he will go in the upper 170's lower 180's if the right side of his rack wasn't broken off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He didn't let me study him very long but it appeared somehow his right side is broken off about 4" up. I'm going to have to try to get another look at him to try to figure it out. It's to early here for him to be doing any serious fighting. Are any of the rest of you seeing any "nice" deer ?

The biggest deer I've seen so far this year while on the property I'm hunting is a fork and horn - and I almost plowed him with the truck when he couldn't make up his mind which way to go...

my bro-inlaw bought some property this past spring and they have found several very nice sheds over the summer. he & my nephews have been riding the atv's alot this summer though and i think most of the deer in his area stay out until night right now. that being said from what i saw laying on his table at the farm house i'm expecting him te tell me about some nice bucks he sees anyday now. no one is really bow hunting it this fall so it should settle down for nov. damn, now i'm gonna need to buy me a new bow.
