Another Winchester pistol/shotgun powder, WST, is a real fine flake powder, too. That also measures like ball powder. My 45 likes that stuff for target loads, too.

She saw me getting out the bow and asked why I bought some more bails of hay, She knows the time is coming and if she does not make the list now then it will be after X-mas before I get to it. I have only been shooting the bow when she is not home. I have not bow hunted in a few years but the IDNR is going to make major changes to our deer hunting in the next few years and I fear gun season is dropping from 17 days to 8 or 9 days a year. So I need to improve my bow shooting.

I was loading some shells with 231 yesterday afternoon and noticed that it said "ball powder" right on the can, but it is definitely a flake powder and not a ball powder. As long as it meters easily and consistently though my powder measure, I don't care how it's shaped.

Your post got me to thinking and I dug out my 231 for some 45 acp's the other night. I really like the way it meters, I just got in the habit of using Unique and Bullseye because I had so much on hand.
