well i now have a large dutch oven full of ham & bean soup going. should be just the ticket for this comming weekend deer hunt!

Had my 1st of this years deer last night, just deer burger & onions with a can of mushroom soup but it was good after a long wait for real venison, did't take a lot to fill me up either. The lat two years I had most of my deer made into prossesed meats and though very good I was missing straight venison so this year I just had the deer cut up and no prossesing.

Come to think of it, when I get my phone and DSL set up in the new house(Jan 4) I'll try to get the wifes recipe for Cajun Bean Soup posted for you. That stuff is almost as good as Chili for clearing up the sinus's. Great stuff for Cold's ar any other time.

Yeah 2009, it's wrapped tight in foil and in a paper grocery bag.
It should be fine still since I just finished the last of the Fall 2008 deer meat which was just starting to get a couple burn spots. Onto 2009 now.

Better than a hanging smoked ham thats ben hanging out in the shed for 15 years, Now there would be good cured ham.
