I remember seeing that buck it was a nice one. I also remember it took forever to thaw it out enough to butcher it. LOL

No snow at all and mild temps are posible in dec but seldom for the hole month. This year with all the snow now, it will be hard to warm up a lot but that too is still posible.

Well around 9:00 AM when I read this post I though Hmm wonder what the temp IS here. LoL it was UP to O. We got about an 1" of powder snow. Too cold to stick to anything. I'm starting to think about Ice Fishing. Least I won't have to worry about falling thru thin ice like I did in Kansas. Here they have real ICE.

Ice and snow here today... we got a couple inches of sleet last night making the roads murderous this morning... it knocked out my cable so I can't even get on line from the house....
You know, the only one that don't complain too much about the weather being too cold is Sebastian.... LOL ... his weather is probably 90º F today... LOL ...

Well I finaly went Hunting deer this afternoon around 3:00, This deep snow pretty much limits me to short walks from my explorer So parked in my daughters yard and walked to a Hog shed about a 100 yd walk today in nee deep snow about all I could handel. Got a better route worked out now to get there in the morning with only a few yards of deep snow but I stomped a good Fox & goose trail through it today So geting in in the morning will be much easyer than today. I saw first off a rouster pheasant & a turkey near dark I saw a squarel and 3 turkeys But the only deer I saw were old tracks of deer. and though it was warm? 38 or so I was darn cold when I headed for home, yes I was dressed I thought very warm. My JRT dog Topper spent the hole time with me and was great realy, even though he is down at snow level he spoted 1st the birds & squrel and never made any noise just pirked up his ears and pointed in their derection. I'll try to get more serious in the morning!!
