I hear that Ruger has discontinued this cap and ball revolver. Perhaps someone can slide over the ruger website and confirm it (#1. because my work computer won't go there. #2. because I have two computers at home which are both broke #3. Their website would likely to be down for my view anyways)

If true, I suppose that Cabelas could be to "blame" for that since they offer the cap and balls for under 200 dollars.

Look at the specs where it gives the prices. Under the price, does it show "discontinued"?

Yup, I just looked, and I'm sorry to say it does say 'discontinued' on all versions.
