This is another of Bounce's little treasures. He even let me carry it one deer season. Again another 2M's restoration. Bounce's actually is in better shape than the one pictured. And 2M's turned out some "cartridges". armscollectors.com/mgs/cartridgebox.htm

Leave it to Bounce to find another treasure, and to twomoons to get it shooting again... That would be a good one to take a deer with.

Wow- now that's a piece of history! Wouldn't it be great to take a deer with one of those?

As I said I got to carry iy one season. But the deer wouldn't cooperate w/ me. Maybe next year Bounce could try it on a deer.

Depends DD? When I was looking for parts and INFO on my Burnside I read a artical from a burnside shooter & colector That baseicaly said that I will need to shoot mine 300 to 600 times before I get it to tack drive every shot in the 9 & 10 ring everytime. Right now I have only shot it about 20 times and only get the 10 ring about once out of nine and the eight are only mostly on paper!!! so I have a way to go to break the barrel in yet!!!!! Yeah mine is realy nice in side and he said his was too just keep shooting and the groups will tighten up? So he said, Burnside's are just that way!! So as you say Pratice pratice pratice

It's a matter of makeing the time for all that it takes. Makeing the bullets, sizeing the bullets. loading & re-loading, and time spent doing it, while my other projects wait allso....smiles... Their is maybe a learning curve to all that that helps tight groups allso?

Funny this should come to the top as I just spent most of the weekeknd converting a Steven's breechblock from rim to center fire. I must be crazy!
