...is not the charm I brought home a 1858 target model and for the moment I still have the other gun as well. The new gun --- what a POS The loading lever is stiff as hell because they machined it all wrong. The guy at Cabelas that shoots those pistols all the time said he'd get another one but there wasn't one back there. So he said he'd probably take it home and get some compound on it and smooth it up. He also said it will work smoother in time but the blueing will come off. Well the blueing is already off and I had it home 5 minutes I thought maybe the screw was on too tight. No, the screw is actually so loose it's almost ready to fall out. If you screw it any tighter it won't move at all. And the manufacturer knew this when they sent it out. Oh and the holster I bought. One would think the 1858 remington holster would fit with the 1858 remington gun. Wouldn't you think that? You would be wrong... It's like me trying to sqeeze into a pair of 34 pants --- it ain't going to happen no way no how. 36, maybe...but not a 34. I tried the regular 1858 thinking the sights might be interfering. Nope, not going to fit. I can understand it being brand new and it would be snug. But I'm forcing it in as hard as I can and it won't even snap if I put the loop through the trigger gaurd !!! So I have two guns and one holster that ain't worth a crap. This has been an absolute horrible experience. The damn Chinese make better **** than Italians

You know what, there isn't anything better than good ol American manufacturing.
I got thinking...which is a dangerous thing...that I have a gun that works mechanically fine but the fixed sights are a problem. And I have a gun with adjustable sights but doesn't work mechanically. HMMM...
I played a little game called "musical parts" and took out the cylinder, cylinder pin, and the entire loading lever and swapped them with the fixed sighted gun I'll be taking back !!!
Yep, nothing like good ol American manufacturing ;D
Now if I can figure out this holster. I might try soaking it, wrapping the gun in saran wrap, shoving the thing down, and letting it dry. See if that works.
Any other thoughts.

Hell I don't care what he does as long as when he returns SOMETHING that its a complete SOMETHING. There is one guy for the whole company that repairs these things and he is so dang busy he don't have time to repair them. He has another job also. Best thing to do Red is to take that new gun and send it to Two Moons and have him straighten it all out. Then you won't have a thing to complain about. Hmm maybe thats not good as it also is the sorce of 99.999999% of your posts lately. Makes for interesting reading and a sorce of laughter. Better yet keep both guns and keep us informed of their junkieness. Is that a word?
