As long as he does not send it to me to buy from him when he gets done with it I would be more than happy to donate money for a gun for him. Haven't laughed that much in a long time. Next problem is he would probably send it to Two Moons to be fixed after he had repaired it. Two Moons would probably wonder what it was when he got it and use it for a sinker or something. If we buy him ANYTHING I think he should be made to KEEP IT FOREVER. ;D Maybe that will remind him not to fix it.

Oh yeah, Bounce, the end of this saga is a long ways down the road... ;D Even without the gun exchange, we have the perils of shipping...two ways, yet to be completed. Yep...lively posts for a while....quite a while.. ;D ;D

I think that is an excellent idea !!! And don't worry - once I get a gun, I won't sell it.
If you guys really want to be entertained, buy me a Ruger ;D ;D ;D

Well to my way of thinking, if everyone is going to buy Red a gun. Then We should test it first and work out all the bugs before he gets it ;D Maybe less entertaining but less stress may save Red a Heart Attack.

Well the gun is in the hands of UPS now. I talked a little bit with JimH last night and he suggested either I lie about what it was or tell them to get screwed when they asked. that's not how i put it. i just said as long as what you're doing is legal, don't tell them shit!. and i would have used the USPS because i can't stand UPS.

because i can't stand UPS. You would like my Lab. She is the friendliest dog I have been around for a long time. Except she goes ballistic when the UPS truck pulls up. She HATES UPS.

A ruger 77 in a 243. Geez, you guys are rough. I wouldn't nessisarily mind having a 243 someday...but certainly it would NOT be used for deer.
Just in spite, I'm sure you guys will arrange a deer hunt for me the following fall after I recieve the gun.

I don't know, a Ruger 77 just might be a little to "high-end" for Red... ;D Just might be trouble free. I have always hoped that Red would buy that SKS he's talked about. Maybe we could chip in a get him one of those Chinese SKS's, not a Yugo or Russian one. Surely that would be more entertaining than a Ruger 77, even if it would be fun listening to the woes of a .243.
