Don is not only optomistic I think he is crazy! As I have not so patiently explained I will need to BUIL a whole new set of tooling to do his tube. I have no deep hole drills long enough to do the job. The drill HEAD is $40 bucks and I need to make a shaft myself. My Lathe will handle a 30" tube as is so I will have to build an extension for the tail stock. The liner itself will run extra because of the length. Maybe someday!

Sounds to me like maybe Dep-Don better go buy a new barrel and put on his original ML. ;D ;D That would make more sense anyway. Besides I already know what Two Moons can do with that new barrel and know he can make it look just like the old one when its finished. Seems to me that would be preferable. Might be Dep-Don that it will get done sooner that way.

Good god... I think 2M's can do the job.... It might take alittle longer but It would be worth the wait...

Looks like the makings of a good tomato stake to me D-D. Two Moons looks a bit sad about the whole thing.

No actually he's in shock!!!! I had just told him that I decided if I have him reline the orginal barrel that money is no object!!! He might call in sick this morning. Or he might be had the "Big one" after I left.

No, I'm sitting there trying to explain to the hardest head in the world why it's not a good idea to reline this gun. The breech will need to be trimmed, the rib, and pin dovetails moved, special tooling built ect. When I gave a preliminary estimate DD turned white so we may just fit a spare bbl anyway.

Oh something tells me I'll be shooting a deer w/ mine. It will be a change of pace after "Big Thunder". I guess shooting a smaller cabiler will be kinda enjoyable after years of the .62
