You're right, Twomoons. The formula ( I don't have it on hand, either) for calculating recoil uses the weight of the ejecta, which is not the same as bullet weight. Ejecta is everything that comes out the end of the barrel- like unburnt powder- as well as the weight of the bullet and any wads, etc.

I definatly agree with the Savage. It's built like their centerfire and priced lower than t/c.

By looking at about 100 different Muzzleloader retailer web sites, I finally found one with some prices.... and I think I've found my new in-line... Depending on the configuration you want, the basic model black/black sells for about $375 ... the camo/stainless/thumbhole is the most expensive and it's about $500... not bad pricing wise... I've read a lot of reviews on this thing and it's supposed to revolutionize the industry.
Unfortunately, no one has one in stock right now... If you want one, you have to place it on back order with shipping dates rangeing from April 1 through May 1, 2007.

The prices sound about par for the course --- perhaps a little low compared to the older model t/c and knights they sold and are selling.

It's the low end of the TC I recon but it's got the newest technology... no more seizing up breach plugs... that's my thought of a GOOD idea...
