anyone hear of 'Jukar of Spain' muzzle loader manufacturer? Is their stuff OK or garbage? Most of what this guy is selling is junk so I suspect this is too. I never heard of the company though and the seller doesn't know if it is a flintlock or percussion.

Well I kind of think that depends on the individual piece, as to whether they are any good. I too had never heard of Jukar, so had to do some research. It seems that Jukar is kind of a shadow manufactuer. By that I mean their products have been sold in this country since the 70's under anothe brand name. Mainly CVA. I also believe Dixie sold a lot of guns using simular parts sets from the same maker. Since I recently took my CVA apart to clean and intend to recycle some of the parts into a rifle I'll build later( ;D TM's The barels back in the closet and I'll go with the Green Mountain. The lock was marked made in Spain. While I'm not going to claim my CVA was a great rifle, but it has been reliable and has served me well. Many have unknowingly been using their products for over 30 years. Not sure yet what project the lock will go into but it is often called a Spanish small Maslin lock which was made l think from 1820-1840 or so. I understand it only needs a few simple modifications to be PC(Period Correct). and better resemble the original.. So while you get what you pay for, it may or may not be a bargain?

No Jucar is GOT YOU in Spanish!!
This is schlock put out as cheap as possible for the sucker trade. The barrels are rough the locks are cheap and you will spend more on repairs than on the gun. The mainsprings are weak and need replacment often. You get what you pay for in life and Jukar is proof. These are wall hangers, trust me. Dixie's parts were made in either Belgium or in Japan and simply looked similar. CVA Jukars were a bottom line discouont NON Waranteed line. There isn't a shoot I go to that someone doesn't wander up with one of these and sayy,"can you ..." make it shoot better, make it go off all the time, fix the sights, fix the trigger ad infinitum.

Thanks, I suspected as much. But I was totally ignorant of that company and its products. In addition the seller was asking $20 for it. When he did not know the difference of a flintlock and a percussion I assumed he knew very little about the gun. On top of that, he is selling a bunch of other stuff and most of that stuff is bottom drawer. I was tempted to buy it for the stock or barrel or what ever. So far he has not come up with pictures either. Guess what, I won't be buying that particular rifle. Thanks for the information again.
