Well So you know for the future they want to get a Chicken, pig, turkey, ram set for Knocking over at 50yds 100yds 150yds & 200 yds with lever rifles. Black powder is not required. They have not bought them yet. Today they just had one each and played. I lost my elivator on my rear sight trying to find the spot for the ram at 200yds in the gravel with my marlin 38-55 so just put it away, Phill shot the reg. match and was finding himself at the end. 0, 30, 31, 41 I will need to rethink the sighting on the 38-55 I was dead on for the chiken, did not shoot at the pig at 100 but was runing out of elivation at the turkey & Ram and shooting under so I set it on the highest lob and was over the ram then lost the little elivator. about 12 guys their today.

Do they allow after market sights or modifications such as higher elevators? In Pistol silhouette if you made such a change then it went to the unlimited class which would mean a person would be competing with custom guns sort of no holds barred class.

My guess if you don't have something real strange to bother anyone nothing will ever be said about sights, I'm shure a tang sight would be ok. It looks like this shoot will fill the needs of the lever guns larger than 44-40 as is plenty for most cowboy shooting [100yds or less] and let peaple use the 30-30, 32 special, 32-40, 38-55, 30-40 krag, 45-70 ect.

If they get this match going on a regular bassis my guess is the 45-70's will be king as most used
