Went to my first OGCA show and had my two sponsors so I should be a probate member next show and a full fledged member in a Year and a half. Paid a year membership and 10 dollar entrance fee.
I loved the show. I am saving up some money to buy a car without a loan and have sold a few guns out Of the collection which were not mint or Something I use a lot. I took some spending cash but spent little.
I did bring money but was unable to afford what I wanted but I did get a rather expensive item to finish off My rem model 12 a rifle. It was salty but I found a guy with two original sights fifty bucks each. It finishes off that gun and added it to the keeper safe in a safe sock. At the price I got that one for it is now worth twice the price I paid. I picked up two Lyman 66 marlin 336 steel sights for 100 and sold one two my neighbor for 100 So I bought two got one free.
I did see guns their I do not see at my local shows. No less than 3 bl-78's in 25-06. My dream savage camper. My dream p7 HK and a 39d and 39 carbine marlin. All of these stayed at the show but I came close to getting the 39 carbine at 700. I know it was full retail but I might not again see one. Great amount Of Handguns and I almost got a Colt detective special for 500 but when I came back to that isle 3 hours later it was gone. Nice early /mid 1940's colt.
I can say this my marli. 39a collection has increased in value or precieved value tremendously over the last 3 years and the blue book of gun values has yet to catch up with the increases. Not a single 39a under 500. Most approching 700 and Mounties approaching 750. I don't think I have many I Paid over 350 for.
They seem to be nuts for a5's there. Lots of them bought and sold.

I bought a B78 in 25-06 a couple years ago. They were hard to find then.
