I too have three of his books and though I no longer subscribe to the magazine in which he writes. I do go straight to his article when I am in the library magazine section. Good stuff.

The latest addition to the camper is what every outdoorsman needs. A hardbound Cabela's catalog. The big one with all the seperate catalogs included. ;D We shouldn't run out of toilet paper for a few days. Also, I just remembered this morning. I need to get license plates put on it. I hate to do that as its titled in Kansas and in Kansas you don't need plates on a single axel camper. Nebraska you need to pay taxes on it each year and get new plates

Well it sounds like the trailer is a Kansas trailer permanently, at least to me. But I suppose someone might notice.

Well the camper is as ready as it can get. Only thing left is to load up with water when I get to Donnie's house. Got new Tires Got new plates Got preserized water system Got furnace fixed Got gas line replaced Got stove top working Got gas pressure working right Got tail lights working right Got taillight pigtail wired right Got camper loaded with food and acc's needed for the hunt Got Milk jugs freezing in freezer for the trip. SO it looks like I have about everything I should need. Didn't get a GPS or walkie talkies but I can get by without those. Maybe the next trip. Trucks ready. Everything checked. Just pack in clothes and guns and work today and tomarrow and I'm out of here.

Yeah, poor girl. I don't know how she's gonna adapt. She'll go from Hunting birds and running fields then coming home and wrestling my son after a big bowl of food then laying on the floor beside my legs and dreaming about more birds. To having a nice camper............WOO HOOO! LOL!!!!! ;D

Why did Donnie get a new 20ga and not tell me. Well got the battery all charged back up again, not that it was down but I had been running it ever since I put in the new battery without ever charging it. ;D Thats been almost 3 weeks with no recharge although the lights weren't on all the time. Got the chairs packed and whatever other necessitys needed for the final packing. Now all I have to do is go to work for the day and wait. When I get off I come home and pack all the food into coolers and throw in my clothes and guns and go. Dep-Don, I dont' have to be at your place till 6:00 Am so I will probably just take my time getting there. If I get tired I might just pull over and catch a wink or two but look for me sitting outside in the driveway at 6:00 Am

Well I'm back home and so is the camper. ;D Maybe not all in one piece but were home. The camper came unhitched and ran up under the Expidition and bent the crap out of the jack on the tounge but its still there and working. The water tank which I thought was 10 gallons turned out to be 7.5 and not adiquate for a trip like we took. The furnace works awsome until the battery goes dead and then is worthless until you get enough charge into it to make it kick the gas on. The stove top is great but only two burners make it hard to cook and get everything done at the same time. Bullseye had to cook the sausage in his camper and I did the eggs and hashbrowns. The beds were better than a featherbed after a long day hunting. Who the hell could tell the differance LOL we all were tired. The dinning table was more than adiquate except if half the people are left handed which then you have to seat everyone accordianly or get forked. ;D Found out the hard way that you really need to check and recheck the hitch. If it don't look like its all the way down well guess what, it isn't. It takes a lot more gas to pull than I thought it would. Figured out that I can get a motel room and drive a car and meet someone with a 4wd there and do it a heck of a lot cheaper at these gas prices. But I'm happy with it and after over 2000 miles I can say I can't complain much about the camper at all. Just myself for not taking along more water, batterys, propane. ;D
