Man I've been in Iraq the last three years and out of touch... I never heard of anything like this before. I thought I was in a dangerous place in the Middle East, but I was safe from this sort of stuff... What's the world coming to that someone would even think of calling a meat by-product a chicken riing and why would anyone even consider buying something called a chicken ring.. sorry Red... I just had to ask "why".... Sounds nasty to me.. And, NO, I've never heard of "White Castle" either... I've led a sheltered life I suppose.

You have led a sheltered life if you've never been to White Castle, the best fast food on this PLANET. It even beats Jack in the Box fried tacos and the Waffle House !!! There's nothing better than being hammered drunk at 2am and getting 10 of these guys This place is so great they made a movie about it. These two stoners find about 5 pounds of pot and decide to drive about 500 miles to the nearest White Castle.

Guess I'm getting old? I try to avoid any resturant wher you have to have a snoot full or be stoned to apreciate the food. And While I work in the movie industry, the fact that a movie was made about something does not reccomend it as desireable behavior. Look at all the slasher and serial murder flicks ot there. ;D Or you could use "The Cook, His Wife and her Lover " or Sweeny Todd as unsavory examples since this is the cooking category.

I think I was mistaken. Seems that White Castle only has restaurants in 10 states, and Pennsylvania isn't one of them. I thought there were White Castles in Pittsburgh. Turns out they were, the now defunct, White Tower restaurants, a copy of White Castle. I think my wife did buy a box of frozen White Castle burgers at the Supermarket though. Living in the sticks, 3:00 am food was hard to come by in my neck of the woods. We had Larson's Lunch, a hot dog joint, and vending machines at the bus terminal... After I-80 opened a 20 mile trip down the interstate would get you to a truckstop, now we're talking high class.....

Ah now you got me confused too Scott! That building looks familiar? I was 15 in 1965 when we were in Dearborn. All I remember clearly were these dinky burgers about the size of a silver dollar that were smothered with dried onions and all you could tase were the AWFUL DRY ONIONS. Don't get me wrong I like onions, but am not at all sure what good those dried ones are?

Dearborn has White Castles. Detroit does too. Back in the day Detroit had White Tower too.

It's been a long time since I've seen a White Castle. I have seen those boxes of frozen White Castle hamburgers in the grocery store, but I've never tried them. Actually, the first thing I think of when you say 'White Castle' is that old movie, Rocky Horror Picture Show. Dunno if I've ever eaten at a White Castle- since I don't do 'hammered', maybe not. I have to say, I'm not seeing anything in this thread that is going to make me run out and find a White Castle.

That's what someone at work said too - of course she's an elitest so she's probably never even had a 100% breast chicken nugget.
Actually most of the microwavable chicken nuggests are from rib meat - banquet, fast fixins, etc.
I can't afford the real meat. Like Rodney Carrington said - "I'll have the chicken ****. Bring some Ketchup"
