This year has been a good year for us finding mushrooms.
I am not good at it and do chores while my camp mates find the shrooms. They share with me so that is good.
We don't eat anything but morels. I'd sure like to, but I am skeered.

Jabba ~ Thats definitely smart on your part. There are alot of shrooms out there that look & hold alot of the same similarity's that some are edible & others toxic. It only takes one screw-up. Dakota ~ I reacon thats a supper gatherin' that will be remembered for some time. Got to eat & had entertainment afterwards ;D. Around my area , there are a couple different toad stools that look like a sponge. The Morels have a cone type shape & the flesh on the outer surface has an appearance of a course sponge. The Boletes have a smooth upper portion & the under side has tight circular type pores/gills that resemble molasses candy. Both are highly prized, ( at least by me ). Now as for the ( LSD cap ), there are several out there that will benefit those who look for this type of snack. Those are the ones that have mescaline, or a Psilocybe in them. Like your Liberty Caps or Amanitas, Big Laughing Jim, just to name a few. Now I know you like isle #5 shrooms , but for the benefit of others out there, it would be in your best interest to learn & id these type as well. It may be a life saver. But like I always stress, when in dought through them out. I used to carry a chart around with me while huntin' them. But don't ever place any un-sure shrooms in with your edibles. I done that once, figured I'll take it home to get a better ID/ spore print on it before I et it.Well in the process, the spores opened some & the powder that they contain mingled with some of my good eaters. Let me tell ya, I went on a trip & never left my house . I never made that mistake again ..
