Ok, time to brag on all of your rimfires. How many 22s/l/lr, 22mag, 17hmr, 17hmr2 rifles do you have?

I have whittled down my rimfires to...hmmm...3 rifles and 2 handguns. They are all 22 LR, except the extra cylinder in 22 Magnum for the Ruger Revolver.
I never jumped on the 17 HMR bandwagon, never imagined a spot for it in my arsenal, although I have had a couple 22 Magnums over the years.
I have sort of taken a shine to the Mach II though. I'm not sure what for, but I might just consider one of them to tinker with.

I'm not sure. I have some here with me and some with my dad and some at Two Moons and some with the brother-in-laws. Maybe I should call and find out sometime.

Oddly enough, I only have 2 rifles and 1 pistol. I have an early 10/22...about 1966, I think. That does 99% of what I use a 22lr for. I also have a Winchester 69A bolt action- rarely use it, but it was my first rifle, and I ain't about to part with it. Killed a boatload of woodchucks with that, back in Thee Olden Days. My one handgun in 22lr is a Browning Challenger 11. Don't own a 22 magnum. No interest in the 17's- they look like good rounds for ground squirrels and prairie dogs, but a bit light for eastern woodchucks.

ok i must revise my .22 count and reduce it by one. i sold one of my rifles this past weekend, once i purchased my m77/22 i was going to be caught a little short on $$when i pick up my two centerfires from the gun smith after their tweeking. so i look at it as i swapped the marlin for the ruger. (no not the 39a).

.22 LR rifles: Mauser sporter bolt action Marlin 989 autoloader Mossberg Palimino lever action Norinco autoloader (Browning clone) .22/20 ga. Savage model 24 combination gun German single-shot rolling block
.22 WMR rifle: Savage model 65M bolt action
.22 handguns: Ruger standard auto Ruger Super Single-Six Convertible German single-shot target pistol
I guess that works out to 7 rifles and 3 handguns

First off, you can never have too many rimfires! Lets see I have Rugers in 10-22, 77/22, Bearcat & Single Six. Rems. in 510, 12c, & 241. Win. in 63 & 9422M. Mossy in 640 Chuckster and a H&R break action. I think that covers it for now, but subject to change If I find something I need. Oh yes forgot my Marlin 39A, how could I do that, getting older.

Thanks, deputydon, glad to be here. I actually forgot another one, also shoot a TC Classic, in fact it is the most accurate semi auto 22 I've shot.

How come I've got this feeling that he's still forgetting one???
I've heard good things about the TC. I'm not the kind of person to dump a lot of money in rifles (much less 22lr) so I havent really taken a good look at one. I guess I'm from the line of thinking that for the price of the TC you could take a 10/22 and make a personal work of art (if you will) that shoots great too. On the other hand, I'm also from the school that says it's a financial sin to pay more than 150 for a 22. lol
